Abstract The molecule ( E)‐(5‐(3‐anthracen‐9‐yl‐allylidene)‐2,2‐dimethyl‐[1,3] dioxane‐4,6‐dione) ( E‐ AYAD) undergoes E→ Z photoisomerization.
